Every holiday season, LaurelRock’s resident holiday decorator Chris Rising extends her artful eye from the garden to the entrance gate, transforming some of the area’s most exquisite home façades into stunning holiday tableaux.
Staying true to each home’s architectural period, Chris draws her inspiration from nature, creating décors that are rich in evergreens and bestowed in color and texture. This year, Chris is using classic roping made of cedar and noble fir, as well as wreaths made of balsam fir, to provide a lush backdrop for such natural accents as magnolia leaves, oversized sugar cones, winterberry twigs, variegated holly, red twig dogwood stems, juniper berries, spruce and white pine greens.
