Design/Build

Conceptual Design - Step One

Consider your property as an extension of your living space to be planned as carefully as you would a room in your house. As designers we create unique and exciting solutions. We ask questions, show options, sketch ideas and research products yielding a master plan and cost analysis for your project. Always balancing cost with benefit, we strive to achieve the highest value for your investment. Throughout this creative process we listen carefully to your comments and work in partnership with you to express your vision.

Design Development – Step Two

There can be no blind leap from an idea to a high quality, finished product. Once the conceptual design and budget are agreed upon, we address structural and engineering concerns and explore the design in detail. The working drawings that we create at this point verify and refine the design, enable accurate pricing, and ultimately reduce costly field changes during construction. They clearly and logically spell out every detail. Their focus is on precision and the clarity needed to communicate to builders, field managers and installation crews. They not only determine the costs of construction, but also enable a seamless progression of the project to its completion.

Construction – Step Three

Like master builders of old who were architects as well as craftsmen, the design/build process reunites these two disciplines. The involvement of the designer during construction allows for creative solutions in response to the uniqueness of each site. Many other benefits arise when a single company takes complete responsibility for a project-- LaurelRock’s daily presence assures consistent quality; added efficiencies of design/build frequently reduce the overall cost; and rapid transition from design to construction is possible. In all, our design/build process yields exceptional quality and projects that are completed on budget and on time.
