The LaurelRock Company is a great place to work. In fact, The LaurelRock Company was one of 50 companies (out of 800 applicants) that have been awarded a 2015 Top Workplaces honor by Hearst Media Services. The award comes amidst the company’s celebration of its 40th anniversary.

“Being recognized as a top workplace comes at an exciting time for our company, especially as we are reflecting upon the company’s 40 years of business,” says LaurelRock President Burt DeMarche. “Making LaurelRock a great place to work is embedded in our culture and the mindset of our people. This honor is a true testament to the dedication and integrity of our team, and it highlights why we’ve been so successful over the last four decades.”

Founded in 1975, the family-owned company is known for lending its design, build and maintenance expertise to more than 1,000 of the area’s most stunning residential properties in Fairfield County and beyond.

The company’s mission, "Making A Positive Difference” is the foundation that The LaurelRock Company has built their reputation upon. Striving to positively influence the lives of their clients, employees, and business partners, The LaurelRock Company’s culture is built on a shared belief in its Core Principles which are based on “E.T.H.I.C.A.L.” practices, which translates to Embrace Teamwork, Think Creatively, Honor the Client, Invest in the Community, Continuously Improve, Act with Integrity and Listen, Learn, and Lead.

“Our success has been enabled by our ‘Making a Positive Difference’ mindset, because it permeates through to all of our 54 team members,” adds DeMarche. “We continually strive for our employees to embrace teamwork, share their time and talents within their communities, aim to always improve, and have fun along the way.”

The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including Alignment, Execution, and Connection.
